The Roger Maris Baseball was issued
in 1962 by Play-Rite Games of
Jeffersonville IN. The box cover
pictures Roger Maris swinging a bat in
his Yankees uniform and another posed,
like the 5x7 photo that came with the
game, but with a facsimile signature.
The game also came with 88 play cards
that measure 2.25" x 3.5" with a
picture of Maris in a batting stance &
his facsimile autograph on the front.
The back of each card with a 1962 copyright, features two plays, such as;
Ball, Strike, Fly Ball, Passed Ball,
Ground Ball, Ground Rule Double and
some have instructions on how the
runners advanced. The game also
includes a cardboard score board,
player pieces and a
ball & strike indicator.
