    Established in 1958, Fleetwood began recording Sports Albums in 1966. The first "Havlicek Stole The Ball" featuring highlights of the Boston Celtic Championship Play-offs from 1956 to 1966. The following year Fleetwood Records issued "The Impossible Dream," a recording that was originally a radio special put together by radio station WHDH and highlighted the Red Sox incredible season of 1967.   
   
 
 
   1967 - "The Impossible Dream" The Broadway melody that became the theme song for the team, tells the story of the American League's champion "Cardiac Kids." The "Voice of the Red Sox," WHDH Sports Director Ken Coleman, did the narration.

 The cover artwork depicts a Red Sox hitter, breaking out of the batters box. The back has a black & white team picture. Featured songs: "The Impossible Dream," "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," and "Shoutin' Liza Trombone."

 The NBD - National Bank if Detroit, presents the Official 1968 Detroit Tigers Album. Narrated by Ernie Harwell & Ray Lane, the album tells the story of a team, and of a city that was touched by baseballs great impact. The 1968 American League champion Detroit Tigers.

 "The Year of the Tiger '68" cover artwork depicts a Detroit Tiger player sliding into home. The Tigers team picture on the back has inserted pictures of broadcasters Harwell & Lane, owner John Fatzer, VP-General Manager James Campbell, and Manager Mayo Smith.

Curt Gowdy talks with Carl Yastrzemski - The Red Sox Super Star and athlete of the year talks with sportscaster Curt Gowdy about batting, fielding and physical conditioning ...an ideal recording for little leaguers and aspiring ball players.

 The record sleeve illustrates Carl Yastrzemski instructing a little leaguer the skills of hitting and fielding. The back sleeve pictures Gene Berde, Yaz's personal trainer, and a daily 10 step training exercise program to the right.

Introduced by James Stewart and narrated by Curt Gowdy, "Baseball - The First 100 Years, Official Centennial Record Album" was released in 1969. Written by Sam Miller, and produced by Larry Miller, the 1960's Psychedelic style cover was designed by American commercial illustrator Bob Peak.

He is best known for innovative designs of the modern movie posters that include West Side Story and My Fair Lady.

  From Marvelous Marv to a Miracle... That's the story of the "Amazin" World Champion New York Mets, a team that excited a nation. Narrated by broadcaster Lindsey Nelson the record covers the New York Mets history from 1962 through the lean years to 1968, and their 1969 world championship season.

 Released by the Fleetwood Recording Co. in 1969, the album uses Play-by-play tapes provided by WJRZ radio, the NY Mets Flagship Station and WHN Radio.

 1970 Battling Bucs - Murtaughs Marauders make this album an exciting happening. The story of a hard fought season and a division title. Narrated by Bob Prince this album tells the story of the 1970 Pittsburgh Pirates through exciting play-byplay action for the division championship.

 The front cover artwork depicts manager Danny Murtaugh looking on as Roberto Clemente rounds the bases.

 1970: Year Of The Birds - The World Champion Baltimore Orioles and all the play-by-play excitement. Brooks, Frank, Boog and all the rest. A baseball buffs..must! Narrated by Chuck Thompson and Bill O'Donnell, the cover, in Oriole Orange, lists Baltimore's 30 man roster with player's uniform numbers. Seven players are randomly pictured.

 The back has a write-up by Lou Hatter of the Baltimore Sun, followed by a team photo, with inserts of Jim Hardin and Clay Dalrymple.

1970 - "The Big Red Machine" Narrated by Jim Mcintyre, and Joe Nuxhall. Exciting play-by-play action of the Cincinnati Reds drive to the N.L. Pennant. It all started that day during the summer of 1969 when Pete Rose came out and called it "The Big Red Machine" That is when the magic started.

 The cover art depicts Manager Sparky Anderson driving the Big Red machine with his player passengers. The back has a write-up by Bob Hertzee of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

 All Star Dairies Presents:  The official record album with play-by-play action highlights of their 1971 Championship Season. "The World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates" - Murtaugh's Marauders in their finest hour, told by the one and only Bob Prince. Hear Bing Crosby announce play-by-play action.

 A year removed from their play-off loss to the Cincinnati Reds, a Young, brash, loose and merry band of Buccaneers won a World Series that ranks among the best all time.

"Finley's Heroes" - Narrated by The Oakland Athletics broadcaster Monte Moore, this Fleetwood album features all the exciting play-by-play of the Oakland As 1972 championship season, including the playoffs and world series.

 The cover art done by Dick Hamilton depicts Manager Dick Williams and his shaggy hair, bold mustached players in their eye-catching uniforms. The Swingin' A's acquired a reputation as one of the most colorful teams in baseball history.

  The New Red Machine - Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan--They're all here as Cincinnati runs and powers itself to the 1972 N.L. pennant. Narrated by Al Michaels, this Fleetwood album features all the exciting play-by-play action, highlights, and interviews of the Cincinnati Reds championship 1972 season.

 The album cover pictures Pete Rose and the airborne Hal McRae celebrating as George Foster scores the winning run on a wild pitch to clinch the National League Pennant.

1973 Ya Gotta Believe - Rising from the depts. of the basement in mid summer, baseballs New York Mets collide with the Oakland As in 1973's exciting World Series. "Featuring all the exciting play-by-play action, highlights and interviews of the Amazin' Mets 1973 end of season, play-offs and World Series Championship Games."

 Narrated by Curt Gowdy, the front album cover pictures Shea Stadium during the 1973 World Series. The back features line and composite World Series  box scores.

 "Another hit from Budweiser King of Beers," This Anheuser Bush Inc. custom recording was produced by Fleetwood Recording Co. Narrated by Ned Martin, Super Sox 75 features all the play-by-play action, highlights and interviews of the Red Sox 1975 Championship season. including play-off and World Series.

This 1975 Fleetwood album title "and this one belongs to the Reds!" is narrator and Hall of Fame broadcaster, Marty Brennaman's signature call. Relive all the glory of one of baseballs greatest teams, as the Cincinnati Reds take their first World Championship in 35 years.

 A Magnavox custom recording, the album cover, pictures Johnny Bench, Will McEnaney, Pete Rose and the Big Red Machine celebrating their World Series Championship.

On October 18, 1977 the New York Yankees ended a period of fifteen years of famine with their 21st World Series championship. Narrated by Phil Rizzuto "Return To Glory" chronicles the play-by-play action of the N.Y. Yankees 1977 World Championship season.

 Opening with "Here Come The Yankees" The album cover Pictures Babe Ruth back in the Yankee glory days, and below, Reggie Jackson returning the Yankees back with three home runs in game 6 of the 1977 World Series.

  The album "Kansas City Royals ‎– The Crowning Episode" was produced by the Fleetwood Marketing Group, a division of the Fleetwood Communications co. The recording features all the exciting play-by-play action, highlights and interviews of the Royals 1980 Championship Season, including Playoffs and World Series.

 Narrated by Denny Matthews the "Voice of the Royals" the album cover pictures a montage of Royal players, and owner Ewing Kaufman.

"The Phantastic Phillies" a Fleetwood Communications album, features "Exciting Play-By-Play Action Highlights And Interviews From The 1980 Pennant Winning Season."

 Side two, interviews from the 1980 World Series, Playoff And Championship Games are added, including "The 'Big Event' ...The Post-Season Celebration." Narrated by Harry Kalas, the  album cover pictures a montage of Philly players.
 
 
 
    The baseball series of sports albums were released until 1980, when ESPN, the networks, and leagues, wanted to capitalize on releasing their own highlights. Fleetwood was no longer allowed to make highlight albums, and lost the rights to them.
