The
Washington Nationals held Bryce Harper
Chia Pet Day on July 5, 2016, a game
against the Milwaukee Brewers. The first
20,000 fans through the gates at
Nationals Park received a Chia Bryce
which came with a packet of Chia seeds.
As it reads on the box "Grow Your Own
MVP Do, Hair Gel Not Included." The
promotion was to honor Bryce Harper's
2015 MVP season. This was the second
consecutive year that a bearded
Nationals player was honored with a
Chia pet. On August 5, 2015 the first
20,000 fans through the gates at
Nationals Park received Chia Jayson Werths.
